 WECOME

Welcome to the web site of the Caribbean Atmospheric Research Center at the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez. We are part of the Climate Modeling Group at UPRM sponsored by NASA. Our aim is to offer the most comprehensive weather and climate information for the Caribbean Region. We are continuously adding new data, so check this site frequently.

The satellite images and the National Weather Service text Products are all obtained using UNIDATA software products. We also have weather information of our weather station here at the University and of our affiliate stations.

Our group is dedicated to facilitate comprehensive climatological and weather display, data acquisition and analysis of the Caribbean region. We also have created the Interactive Weather Data Format (IWDF) which organizes weather station related data in one simple and easy to use table, from which you can access graphs of the same data. These tables are generated automatically and the readings are displayed every 10 minutes. We also provide data from other stations that is not yet available through our website. If you are interested in climate data from stations located in Puerto Rico, be sure to contact us so we can help you access it.
